we are always urged to "make sure of all things", namely, that anything we preach or teach is verifiable and true.

I sense that you still want to serve our Creator, but some imperfect individuals are causing you to stumble.

Just remember what situation ones such as Peter, Andrew, James, & John must have been in prior to Christ's arrival - the falsehoods and injustices being dealt out by the religious leaders. They didn't abandon their faith or condemn openly what was going on - the Messiah would do that. They waited patiently for the one who would carry out a complete revealing of who was true and who was not. We are waiting now!! (1st Peter 4:17; 2 Thess. 2:4,8; Rev. ch. 2 & 3) These Scriptures guarantee what will take place, and to whom.

"Test the inspired expression" is a Biblical command - no man or group of men has any right to tell you you not to do so. At our District Convention, the speaker who got it wrong about Korah, said this, "If we doubt the Governing Body or any of their decisions, it could be viewed by Jehovah as disrespect for Him".

He also stated that "Jehovah's sole means of communication today is "the Faithful & Discreet Slave Class".

So the Holy Spirit is redundant now, is it? " But the helper, the holy spirit, which the Father will send in my name, that one will teach YOU all things and bring back to YOUR minds all the things I told YOU". (John 14:26)

Also, rememember Paul's words at Romans 4:7 - " For who makes you to differ from another? Indeed, what do you have that you did not receive? If, now, you did indeed receive [it], why do you boast as though you did not receive [it]?".

We should be very careful as to who we give praise and credit to, for our understanding of the Scriptures.

The references to Revelation 20:12 and the false reasoning on it, occur approximately 20 ytimes in the literature.

Just go to Revelation 20:12 in the WT CD ROM, left click on the verse number (12) and all the references will come up for you to examine at your leisure.

The phrase "new scrolls" has been seared into people's minds over the years by speakers at assemblies, conventions, and Kingdom Halls, as well as in general conversations with one another. There may be only 3 direct references in the literature, but this urban myth has been perpetuated for so long, that most believe it to be a Bible truth.

The Scripture in Revelation 20:12 is pretty clear and understandable, even to someone who has never read the Bible before;

"And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and scrolls were opened. But another scroll was opened; it is the scroll of life. And the dead were judged out of those things written in the scrolls according to their deeds."

There is one group of people, (the dead) and there are scrolls; but there is also a single scroll (life) which becomes operative after the multiple scrolls have been administered. The verse leaves no doubt as to their purpose - to judge the dead - not to educate them!!!

So what are these numerous scrolls which are used to judge? At 2 Timothy 4:13, the apostle Paul asked Timothy to bring the scrolls he had left in Troas. 'Scrolls' is translated from the Greek 'biblios' which means little books. Clearly, Paul was referring to the Hebrew Scriptures.

It doesn't require a great leap of imagination to deduce that if Jehovah is going to judge anyone, then his judgement must be based on what we did or didn't do, according to his direction. Not on things we hadn't a clue about!

And where will we find out what his will is??????? Biblios!!!!!

First; "Over a quarter of a million new brothers and sisters were baptized last year - doesn't this show love on Jehovah's part that he is allowing time for such ones to get to know him". (paraphrasing, but a generally held belief amongst many)

A false conclusion, not based on Scripture - Jehovah has set an appointed time he is not delaying it to save a few others. And on that note, consider this; it is generally accepted that at Armageddon, those who have rejected the ransom will be destroyed - forever.

Each year, approximately 130 million babies are born; each year approximately 1/4 million people turn to Jehovah; therefore, the reasoning is that Jehovah is prepared to destroy 129.75 million people for each year, in order to get .25 million more worshippers.

Wrong reasoning which has been put into people's psyche - clean it out of your mind, Jehovah is not evil!!!

Second; Why do very experienced brothers state that Korah "was swallowed up by the earth and went down into Sheol". He didn't.

Read the Scriptures brothers, before you misquote them - Numbers 26:10 & Psalm 106:17, 18.

Just a little p.s. for anyone recently joining this forum - check the Bible for "new scrolls" - the verse doesn't exist, and neither does the "given" explanation of it! The phrase was invented exactly 27 years ago and revealed in the June 15th 1985 Watchtower.

Do what I did, and just quietly ask an elder, "where in the Bible does it speak about "new scrolls?". (Rev.20:12)

The look of shock and then his silence, when I said that the Bible does not say what he claimed it did.

the insight book has this to say; "the law covenant between jehovah and the nation of natural israel was made in the third month after their leaving egypt, in 1513 b.c.e.

(ex 19:1) it was a national covenant.

Thanks for all your comments and perspectives.

I was trying to reach anyone (but especially fellow Witnesses who are blissfully unaware) who is prepared to examine what really happened at Sinai with the Covenant, and its application. The Hebrew Scriptures I urged people to look at (under the listing (alien resident/s) clearly show that our Grand Creator is willing to accept anyone as part of his people, providing they adhered to the terms and requirements of His Covenant. This would confirm that Jehovah was addressing everyone at Sinai, not just natural Israelites.

Likewise with His New Covenant, instigated by Christ, any and all were invited to be parties to that new Covenant. "This means my blood of the Covenant which is to be poured out in behalf of many", Jesus said. Not just 144,000!

It is noticeable that no one discussed the 'elephant in the room', Rahab and Ruth. Either Jehovah assimilated 'aliens' into His holy nation as Israelites due to their love for Him, or the Messianic family tree was corrupted- take your pick. Just remember Peter's words to Cornelius about God not being partial.

Jesus brought Jews into the New Covenant first, and then 7 years later the "other sheep" (non-Jews) were invited. All those who put faith in Christ's sacrifice as the Lamb of God become parties to the New Covenant, and become members of the "Israel of God", in fulfillment of Jesus' words at Matthew 21:43 - "The kingdom of God will be taken from YOU and be given to a nation producing its fruits."

That is why only the Jews had to be born again (into the New Covenant) - because they had been born into the Old Covenant, whereas non-Jews hadn't been "born" into any covenant with Jehovah.

Conclusion: Jehovah will accept anyone who wants to serve him. Even Job who wasn't an Israelite, was described by God as "no one like him in all the earth."

The Insight Book has this to say; " The Law covenant between Jehovah and the nation of natural Israel was made in the third month after their leaving Egypt, in 1513 B.C.E. (Ex 19:1) It was a national covenant. One born a natural Israelite was, by birth, in the Law covenant and was thus in this special relationship with Jehovah".

The Law Covenant which Jehovah concluded with the nation of Israel is spoken of in

Exodus 19. In verse 8 it says, "After that all the people answered unanimously and said: “All that Jehovah has spoken we are willing to do.”

Notice, that all the people agreed; none were excluded. In Exodus 24:3, this is what occurred; "Then Moses came and related to the people all the words of Jehovah and all the judicial decisions, and all the people answered with one voice and said: “All the words that Jehovah has spoken we are willing to do.” Again, ' all' the people answered with ' one' voice". No exemptions - and no divisions were made.

When Moses received the unanimous acceptance by

everyone present, he then proceeded to validate the covenant by means of a blood sacrifice. (Exodus 24:8) It can be seen from the previous verses that non-Israelites were included in the Law Covenant, and would be willing subjects to all of its terms and conditions, as well as its benefits. Nowherein the Hebrew Scriptures is there even an inference that non-Isaelites were excluded from any aspect of the Law Covenant.

It is claimed that exclusion from the

Kingship and the priesthood is 'proof' that 'alien residents' were not included in the Law Covenant.

The priesthood was limited to members of the tribe of Levi, and the kingship was through the tribe of Judah - and guess who was assimilated and accepted as full members of the tribe of Judah? Read on.

The final and largest nail in the "beneficiaries" coffin is this; two

non- Israelite women had a part in producing the promised 'seed', someone who would become the greatest king/priest ever known to mankind. Those women were Rahab & Ruth - a Canaanitess and a Moabitess. And which tribe did they become part of of? The kingly and Messianic tribe of Judah!!!

Use the Watchtower CD ROM, and type in the Search bar "alien resident". There are approximately 60 references to them.

Every single reference demonstrates that Jehovah viewed such ones as equal to those born "natural Israelites".

Faithful Slaves & Domestics - Who Are They?

Concerning the Annual Meeting Report, the August 15th Watchtower 2012 has this to say; "We all have a place in Jehovah's House," said Samuel Herd of the Governing Body. All Christians have a place in God's House."

Lovely!!! Let's now see how the Scriptures confirm that statement is so true.

"Certainly, therefore, YOU are no longer strangers and alien residents, but YOU are fellow citizens of the holy ones and are members of the household of God, 20 and YOU have been built up upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, while Christ Jesus himself is the foundation cornerstone. 21 In union with him the whole building, being harmoniously joined together, is growing into a holy temple for Jehovah. 22 In union with him YOU, too, are being built up together into a place for God to inhabit by spirit." (Ephesians 2:19-22)

But in case I am delayed, that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in God’s household, which is the congregation of [the] living God. (1 Timothy 3:15

And the Lord said: "Who really is the faithful steward, (house manager) the discreet one, whom his master will appoint over his body of attendants to keep giving them their measure of food supplies at the proper time? (Luke 12:42)

Here are some varying thoughts on who constitute the household, as well as the domestics. ('Other sheep' don't get a mention, let alone food at the proper time - it's only those fortunate domestics who get all the food!!)

‘The Faithful Slave’ and Its Governing Body Individually, the members of Jehovah’s household are termed "domestics" or "body of attendants." (w90 3/15 p. 11 par. 3)

This indicates that for some time before Christ arrived to settle accounts with his spirit-anointed slaves, they would have been dispensing spiritual food to members of the Christian congregation, God’s household." (w90 3/15 p. 13 par. 15)

"Such congregation is also called the "Israel of God" and "God’s household." (Gal. 6:16; 1 Tim. 3:15) The individuals in the congregation are called "members of the household of God." (Eph. 2:19) (w81 3/1 pp. 25-26)

"They are true Christians who, collectively, make up "God’s household." (w62 3/1 p. 138 par. 12)

The term "heir" refers to " apersonwho inherits".

Has anybody here read what Jesus said on the Sermon on the Mount - "The meek will inherit the earth". (Matthew 5:5)

Doesn't that make allChristians heirs? Just asking!!!

Sorry to dig up old chestnuts, but I came across this paragraph which blatantly contradicts the false and odious teaching that our own death wipes out our sins. (Romans 6:7) (welcome back Adolf, Stalin, Ida Amin etc.)

While still alive, they had been baptized into Christ Jesus and received the valid prospect of heavenly life. In order to be anointed with holy spirit and accepted as spiritual sons of God, they had to die to their former course in life as imperfect humans, have their sins forgiven by God and have human perfection imputed to them.

Wow!!!! They're already perfect are they?????

If any brothers or sisters are reading this website for the first time, don't think for a minute that it is a nest of apostates and disfellowshipped ones. There are many like me who are 'sighing & groaning' and are trying to share Bible truths which contradict men's teachings.

Just read your Bible and compare what you're expected to believe, and be prepared for some shocks. I no longer read the questions posed in the literature - I just read the articles and scrutinize what's been written, not what I'm being directed to think or answer. You'll be amazed at what, and how much you'll learn by doing that.

The cleansing and the end will come when it is time. (1 Pet. 4:17 & Rev. 2 & 3) Just ignore the word "soon" which has been flogged to death for so long.

The timing of the Great Tribulation and Armageddon is none of our business!!! (Acts 1:7) Keep awake for the sake of your spirituality - not for a Divinely appointed event.
